Alma presents Park — a new center for culture and creativity.

Biografen Park — widely regarded as one of Sweden’s best preserved theaters from the golden era of cinema, is being brought back to life. Behind the initiative is Alma, the members’ club and communal workspace for creatives.

Park first opened its doors on November 21, 1941 with a showing of “Lady Hamilton”. It’s designed by Björn Hedvall, the Swedish architect behind Konstnärsbaren, Ängby Kyrka, Ängbyhöjden and over 250 buildings and 20 cinemas. Considered one of the preeminent architects of functionalism, Park is viewed by many as one of Hedvall’s master pieces. In 2017 Park closed and has been sitting empty until now.

Alma’s Park is a cultural center that commission, produce, and present a wide range of activities in film, performing arts, visual arts, and pop culture. It will also be the home to festivals, awards shows, conferences, product launches and other inspirational events, further setting Alma apart as the leading community for creatives, entrepreneurs and artists.
